When was the last time you were in public and saw a child throwing a tantrum, with the parents unable to control the situation? Or worse, a child demanding their mum’s attention by yelling “ma” on repeat, with the mother too busy to respond. In this week’s debate, we asked Gulf News readers: Do women take up motherhood as a social responsibility instead of as a personal choice? And if so, is that the reason behind disconnected parenting?

If you would like to talk, feel free to reach out to us. An LifeWorks therapist would be able to help.
